Hi Gang,

I just took ownership of my shiny new toy... A OK Trident 15. I live in Gilroy where it regularly gets into the low triple digits in the summer. Right now I have the T-15 in a heavy-duty dark green nylon kayak cover, laying on it's side along side the house, where it does get some direct sunlight for a few hours a day.

How worried should I be about sun warpage?

Get a tarp and wrap her up. It won't warp if its on her side and supported over a large area. I would be more concerned about sun fading.

Thanks Brian. Here's the cover she's in:

What I think I might do is dig out some additional soil to fit the profile of the boat that way there's no single point-of-contact with the ground and then cover with some pea gravel.

Other thoughts and inputs from folks would be great!

Treat kayak with UV tech (by McNETT) or 303.....reapply a least once a month.

Putting her to rest in a contoured bed sounds like a great idea to me. :sleepy1: :sleepy1:
