Got another striper this evening

Fished my secret spot slow trolling live sardines with no weight right outside the surf... Got this 9 pounder to the kayak.. Hooked another and got kelped and broke off on 30 lb line... Saw the fish and my guess was it went 25 or so lbs! Pix taken at my buddies pirate shack in Midtown Santa Cruz

Can you save me some scales and possibly the ear bones the next time you catch an ocean striper?  I am going to be doing a study on striper in the near future.

Yeah, we got a pirate flag and crab buoys up at our house in the redwoods...
