Weather permitting launch at 7am for a striper and halibut try. I can bring some shiners from, yes you guessed it, Keith if hes got em' and a sabiki to try and make bait. Fish till the wind comes up or what? I am looking for some experienced kayak fishers to join. The more the merrier.

In my opinion, I think this is a decent place to start in the ocean. It's not as easy as launching in the harbor at HMB, but it's not bad as far as surf launches go.

There's a north swell forecast at 6' Sunday, so you may not want to venture too far outside of the mouth of the bay, but we'll likely be focusing our efforts inside the bay for halibut and stripers anyhow.

I'd give it a shot if you have experience in the SF Bay and freshwater and you feel like you're ready for the next step. Bring your standard halibut and striper gear for fishing. You definitely need to be dressed for immersion since we're in the ocean, and you absolutely need a kayak cart with sand wheels. It's a bit of a haul from the parking lot to the north end of the beach where we launch, and it's all sand. There's no way that you would want to try and carry or drag your yak that far.

And one more watchout: If you're crouched down next to your boat on the beach and you hear someone walk up to you and say hello, don't look up too quick or you might have "'ol one eye" right at eye level.  :smt044  :moon

Edit: Just checked again and the swell forecast has increased to 7.8'

"can i roll? pt.2"

all i need is to use your guys cart and in return ill bring a 24 pack of beer of your choice and some meat for BBQ

the cach is..im a newbie...not to fishing but to catching fish on the ocean in a plastic boat so a few pointers would be nice
i got all the safety gear (wetsuit, flares, wistle,VHF,pool noodles, mirrow, holy bible) and im rockin a malibu x factor fish/dive

ive been out to monterey bay and have practiced self rescue in the cold water a grip of times and have tested my limitations in rough waters by launching out of mcavoy harbor and paddled out past the green buoy during an outgoing tide with 15 MPH winds , might not sound like much but if anyone knows suisun bay then they know it can get crazy out here in the summer

not tryna sound desperate its just that keo(i likey fish) is my partner in crime but hes been doing some job training and hasnt been avaialble and im itching to get out there but aint tryna go out solo!

again ill say is all i need is some pointers , help getting my yak to the water , tips on surf launch and once im on the water ill contribute to some fsh reports cuz im a fish catching animal!
sorry for the long reply guys
btw..this site is the shit !
