I finally caught my first bass as Lake Natomas today.  Several bites from smaller ones, was able to land two.  The biggest was 3lb 2oz.  Got 'em in the Lagoon through the tunnel on the north end of the lake down at the damn end.  Fun afternoon....

Nice catch. I've fished back there many times and never scored one that big. Good job.

Colt45,

I'm with Alfredo, I never knew there were bass back there bigger than 9-inches.

Good job! I may have to take the crew back there on an adventure.... :smt002

Tight lines!

Yeah, I was pretty surprised too.  I saw an even bigger one that was a follower when I was landing the small one.  It actually looked interested in eating the little guy as it was struggling to get loose!  This is all in about 2-3 feet of water.

Well done, every time I go by that cove on my bike I think it should be full of bass, just not when I have my kayak and fishing stuff...

Congrads!  i love a wacky-rigged Senkos in natural colors, maybe as much as the bass do.....Thanks for the BendoShot!!  it takes a special kind of person to shoot a pre-yak'd fish pic, just so he can share it......THANKS!! :smt002

Wow... anytime anybody  catches a fish out of the lake... I think it's a f'n miracle. I've yet to catch anything out of Natomas. That place is a waste land to me. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, maybe I'm not fishing the right areas or maybe I just suck. Whatever the reason, I'm just amazed that anything lives in there. Great job on the bass. Maybe it'll get me back out there one more time... maybe... maybe... nahhhhhhhhhhh...

Freddie,

Natomas is one of my slump breaker lakes.  It took me a few months to figure the lake out, but ever since I have rarely been skunked.  There are monster trout in that lake!  If you want to fish Natomas this winter with me I can show you what has worked for me.
