While jamming with about 90 ukulele players from the Sons of the Beach, Santa Cruz (You could watch it on you-tube, but I don't think you'd want to admit that you did.) at the harbor this morning, I saw dozens of boats not a quarter mile out and a little east from harbor mouth, birds diving, etc.   Almost no wind even at noon.  Then, when I rode past Bayside a little kid was weighing in a 29.95 dressed halibut, his Dad said he got it off Soquel Pt.   Tons of boat trailers in the harbor, yak launches not so many, should get some good intell about where and how today.
I remodeled my knee falling off my bike the other day, so I'll have to keep it dry for a week or so, but there's nothing stopping you.

Nice! I love the "undercover" aspect here. Yak fishers are everywhere, even uke'ing on the beach!

I was out there today. Fished outside the harbor mouth with no hits other than bait-robbing small stuff. A couple decent hits out by the lighthouse, but that's about it. Dead calm until noon, strong winds for a while, dead calm again, and then wind from the opposite direction. Really weird cloud formations, too.

sorry to hear about your knee Tom.  I have seen the massive Uke jams a few times.  Something really cool about that many ANYTHING gathering together.
