Are there even an experience one? The weather says its 5 ft swell but the wind is manageable, and the waves 1-2 feet..So anyone? obkook and I are planning to head there, he is newbie like me on kayak fishing but he is an experienced surfer...Again just wondering :smt003

The forecast doesn't look pleasant. Bean Hollow can be very nasty. I wouldn't go under the current forecast - wait for a good day, IMO.
May the fish be mighty and the seas be meek...

Yeah, I was there today. Fished from 6-10am and we got off the water just in time. The swell was forecast at 1.5ft, but outside the cove the FF measured between 6 and 8 feet between the crest and trough. Windwaves 1-2ft. Sloppy. Wind was steady 10-12mph, until 9:30 when small whitecaps appeared. It was just not very nice.
water has cooled since last week by 8-9 degrees, the bait was gone.
I'd actually recommend the SC harbor launch if tomorrow is anything like today. Its protected fromhe the wind. Paddle up toward Cowells and try for Halibut. I think they are still around. I got one to the yak at BH, but it spit the hook. They are still around, but laying low. Fishing live bait near the Harbor, mile can, Steamers to Blacks might be a good target/plan tomorrow.

I've had my T15 for a week now, and have been breaking it in slowly on freshwater (3 times).  Mooch suggested a little practice and some self rescue work, which I have done. That was good advice - definitely harder than I thought it would be. Anxious to get on the ocean, but the report doesn't sound friendly for 7/11.  I'll watch for other suggestions.
