Launched @ 2 today, fished outside kelp hooked a few small RF. Came in closer and scored a 26" STRIPER then a 25" BUTT.
Tons of bait still around. Hooked sardines, anchovies and a couple sm macks for bait. Caught both fish on troll using sardines.

That is very nice looking water. Congrats on the fish. Making bait and then fishing with it is a blast. How were you trolling?

Just bouncing off the bottom with about 3' of line through a slider, 6oz weight, single hook in sardine head, trebble in tail. Paddle away...slow

Cool, we fished like that at Linda Mar last sat. 1 ling but no striper love. I only used a 2oz weight though and a 36 in leader of 30lb floro.#2/0 light wire circle hook. Maybe we can hook up at NB sometime

That's a great score. Somebody's eating good tonight. That place hasn't been too kind to me in the past. Just when I think I'm done fishing that place, a report like this comes up and teases me...
