Chris, give me a call the next time you go.  I was thinking about trying the SL Marina today, but decided to do chores instead.  A call would have changed my mind.

I fished the SL Marina this morning from about 7:30 to 9:00.  Perfect weather, no wind, water was like glass.... but it was near low tide which sucked.   I tried anyways, but no luck.

This afternoon around the high tide (3:07pm) should be perfect... but I doubt I'll be able to go again.

Here are the directions:

The launch ramp just south of the Marina Inn.

After work might be hard for me week days (since I live in Santa Clara and work in San Jose and they haven't expanded North I-880 to 50 lanes yet ;-) with days getting shorter. What about  weekend on a flood tide. Where does one launch and where to fish? I have only fished San Luis and would like to try the South Bay somewhere.

i fish san leandro quite often and i have caught many and big stripers there. however it is inconsistent, on the weekends i fish more "glamorous" areas such as the san rafael shoreline. tomorrow morning i will fish golden gate fields.

Where did you fish?  How far out of the marina, and to the south or north?  Sounds like I might be able to get a couple hours in on Tuesday morning after 8AM.

Thanks,

Jody
