Photo ID of baitfish

Great thread & huge props to Kirk monkeyface for doing the chart    AND putting up with DFG for sending back a freebie for revisions.

red band minnow from lake Tahoe....

Can't identify these other 2 minnows - also caught in Tahoe....anyone care to research?

The top one is a speckled dace, the bottom is a Lahontan redside, the same as the red band minnow in the previous post but without the redband.  Both minnows are native to Lake Tahoe.

spotfin surfpearch....be careful not to treat these as shiners wrt regs. there have been quite a number of tickets written of late, where fisherpeople have thought these were shiners
