It was simply an EPIC day of fishing at Linda Mar.  Adam, Chris, Ariel, and I caught our first ocean stripers by kayak.  It's been our longtime goal and Adam did one better with his rare WSB.

Pic 1 thru 3:  Action shots of Adam and his WSB
Pic 4: Adam with a legal ling (released)
Pic 3: An on the beach shot of my 38-1/4 (19 lb) striper

SICK!  I've always wanted to chase down some ocean stripers.  You guys did it in style.
I'm truly stoked for ya, but right now I've got a flooded bedroom and a landlord who doesn't seem to give a rats ass.
So your report kinda makes me want to go find a glowing ember to jam in my eyes  :smt003

Mad&Many Props Back-to-ya' fellas.....my head is still spinning and gettin bigger by the hour(my wife is lovin' it)  If it weren't for that last minute chage of plans, i'd a been at Bean hollow watching Sean dominate it......tooUNFRICKENreal_!!

as we hadn't hooked a quaility fish for a while, we trolled towards the north end along the surfline looking for bait. None was found, so i headed back to the spot to try a few more times. We got there, the bait got there too. Chuck sugests that we stick around there. I never left it, padding uo to the 20'mark and then back-paddle down to the 40' depth.....i had a big takedown&mis, so i just kept at it and at it and at it. My live sardine was not alive anymore after that hit, but I guess when it's your time, it really doesn't matter.

pics1&2 ~ 39" at 25lbs and kick m butt pretty good.

pic2~ did i mention this 27" ling upgrade?, it got lost in the mix somehow.

Fishunter, I am so happy for you bro. The huge striper was already awesome for
the upgrade. But the WSB just made it all just SPECIAL. WTG again bro.

When i was all alone, my sardine dead, my wadd previously shotten, i feel a thud, my reel was in super loose drag, line being pulled. I let it run for a while, apply the thumb to the spool and the battle began. It went straight for the shallows, i countered by back peddling into 50' depth. I could not get it to the top AT ALL! After what felt like 10min. i radio'd that i was in mid battle of something BIG!.......out, in I take, it takes bake....we exchanged blows for another few rounds, when Ariel calls back,"what was the outcome?"...I yell, I still ON!!.......another couple of rounds and i see a big-white flash below......Radio in"IT's a BIG HALIBUT!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!.......then i get it closer and see it's head, that's when the piss, shit, blood and cum was all over me!!!

I'm still buzzing and all packed for Cabo!!!

THANKS TO ALL, I could not have done it without ALL of your inspiration, willing to share and good ol' NCKA style love!!
