First Fish from kayak

Went out from the Point Arena pier. I found myself surronded by jumping bait fish. First drop of soft squid lure and got hit as it came off the bottom. when the fish came up to the boat I found that I had left gaff at home!
Short battle but got it in boat.

Sorry, It was 34 inchs. Don't have scale so don't know what it weighs

You should have released it!  What I mean is you should have thrown the hawg through away.  too small for your Ling
