D.L. Bliss - Lake Tahoe - Last weekend of June 09

Got an invite from the "Fred and Stuart clan" for their annual family migration to Tahoe and as usual = IT WAS DA BOMB!!! 

Made my way up Monday morning and saw this 

...saw a potential NCKA club house spot 

Got to the camp site and hooked-up with my fellow HAC members (Hella Asian Crew )

The kids decided to play "house" in my home away from home vehicle

Fred did the fishing thing with Zilla ......I'll let him fill up the details. Fred also dropped some crawdad traps while I did what any Tahoe Manatee would do ....which is free dive for 'em Had a blast doing that. Ended up with some nice dads but also did a clean up....picked up some bottles, snagged fishing lures and cleared tangled mono off the underwater stumps...

...this bad boy earned it's freedom because of the fact that it survived so long with only one claw

....at dusk...the monster came out to scare da kids  

...karma paid me a visit later that night when this BIG bear came 20 feet off my manvan......it was sniffing Stu's trailer   MY VERY FIRST BEAR ENCOUNTER

Good Times!  Bliss is an awesome place.  Love the sheer drop off on the south end - 600' of water about 100 yards from the rock face!  Cool report and great pics, Manatee.   

Nice stuff...I could smell the fresh pine air.  Mooch I think you attracked the bear with your snoring! The crawdaddys look yummy

Dude, I have about 50 bear pics that look just like yours!
I'm sure it was closer than it looked, and bigger than the pic makes it seem. Or would, if you could see the bear.
