Just decided to take a day off tomorrow. I'll give ARW one last shot  :smt003 I know a bunch of folks are going to Paradise, but it's a bit far for me. I expect to catch live herrings around 6:00am. Be at launch by 7:00am. You're welcome to share my bait. Give me a howler on channel 69.

Dude, 7/2 is today (Thursday). I went and got skunked, again  :smt003

In fact, I went to my herring spot this morning and found that I went there at the wrong tide. Water was too low and found no bait. I then went to your pier and got some shiners and smelts, but I got snagged and ended up breaking my net. If I need shiners next time, I'll just catch them with hook and line. They seem to be abundant at your pier. Good luck if you go out tomorrow. The wind never did let up today.

Have fun at Amador.

Ahhhhhhhhhh Crap - man I thought it was for Friday - Well damnit Im going out Friday Morning, as I have 7 lovely shiners to share. Come out tommorrow if you can. Hope someone comes out. Anyways, darnit, skunked again hunh - Im telling you Ernest, literally number 13 will be the one. Did you get any take downs? Sorry to hear about the net, I was going to point out a few spots to watch out for, but yah, my net looks like Frankenstein too now. I just sew up the holes and good to go.

Sorry. Can't make it tomorrow. That's why I took a day off today to go, but the weather did not cooperate. I don't it matters anyway. Not even a bite. I really hope I don't have to go 13 times before I catch a damn halibut. My net got caught at the rope that all the lead was attached to. Couldn't save it. I ended up ripping the net clean off, leaving the rope/lead still in the water. Tried removing everything, but couldn't do it. With the abundance of shiners there, I bet you catching them with hook/line wouldn't take any longer than you would with a net. I gotta somehow break the trend and start catching fish. Definitely try something with a higher success rate next time.
