Oh yeah, that was me...and I just forgot to tell you guys. :smt044 :smt044

Seriously, I haven't heard about this. I did hear that the Pelagic Shark Research Fisherman, sorry Foundation has been out tagging this week, so maybe it has something to do with them. Last i heard they were tagging blue sharks in the outer bay waters.

I second that. A juvenile white shark is BIG; I beleive 4-6ft, and they're not skinny like a lepeord shark.

I predict that Davenport will be the next site of a shark encounter - with a Kayak Fisherman. I just hope it will be an "encounter" and nothing else :smt045

never seen one....yet.....it's just a matter of time. There's a lot more people out the ocean now more than ever :smt002

20 years surfing in Bolinas....I bet my right nut that he's been "checked out" by a white shark without him even knowing....

*let's just keep in mind that the sharks have been protected for a long time now and their food source as well (seal / sea lions / otters). I'm no shark expert but all this seems to add up to more fist hand shark stories :smt002

I've yet to see one out of a yak but in my PB I have seen 3 in the Tomale Bodega area and at the Islands a couple of times.

It always surprises me they haven't sniffed out the hordes of complacent mammals at steamer

one of these days

Around 15 years ago, a GWS was spotted eating a sea lion about 500 yards off the wharf.

The reason we never see them is that they are an ambush predator. Generally, you see them when they are attacking or eating something.

go put your yak in the water at Stinson and paddle all day around the south end down to rocky pt and out to half a mile or so

do that enough times and sooner or later you'll see one
naw thats alright ill just see it when i aint lookin for it and play the lottery that day.(if i make it back)

"kayak fishermen terrorism" that would be like when u guys have one of ur fishouts and some pissed off ex member comes and chums the fishing grounds then paddles for the bank

u seen one blue? im not tryna be tuff like the cool kid whos tougher then the shark in fact it freaks me out , just saying that it would be one of those things that ill remember forever..the closest ive ever been to a white shark was at the old acadamey of sciences in SF , i remeber they found a dead one and brought it in there for display , i never made it down to the MB aquarium to see te little one they had which sucked cuz i really wanted too

There's at least two NCKA'ers that have done more than just seen one.
