Stayed at the Sea Otter Inn with the family on Tuesday the 9Th which is very close to the Leffingwell launch.  Launched at about 6:30 and finished at 12:00 noon.  I caught my pb Cab and a twenty four inch Ling the first half hour, and then two more nice Lings, and about 15 various rock fish between 11:30 and 12:00.  I saw a huge school of (I think Comerants) just floating, so I paddled over and started hooking up as they all flew off.  I also saw two large whales about 800 yards away.  Scared the crap out of me when they started breaching behind me, and I didn't know what the huge explosions were until I turned around.  Thankfully they were going out to sea because I was a little nervous.
All fish were caught on a copper flake w/ blue top swim bait, and a Berkley 5" Gulp  Saltwater Jerkshad above it.

Junior looks ready to roll!  You got the total package; cabs, lings, fish, bird and whales.  Congrats.

Great report Andy, kids and the beach, I must have a thousand pics of that, never get tired of seeing it, keep those pics coming, good times, enjoy it.

I'm still looking forward to getting down there later this year, won't be for awhile tho, probably fall.

Thanks Sailfish, E2G, and DaleL.  I guess I made two reports.  Having problems with the computer.  Sorry.  I'll be on the Big Island for two or three months this Tuesday.
