Count me in if the conditions look right, I love the feeling of being tired from a worthy adventure

If conditions look like crap 2days before we can remake the date. The cliff isnt that bad. Really :smt003

Craig where can I find articles about the horseshoe politics?
After my mini cliff adventure in big sur that cliff in the picture looks challenging. Maybe bring some homedepot helpers?

I hope everyone planning to take part in this will also take part in the next and final two MLPA meetings to support 2XA and prevent Fisk Mill, Horseshoe, and Richardson Ranch from closing forever.

If you want the dessert, you need to help in the kitchen.
May the fish be mighty and the seas be meek...

The cliff trail is not that bad. I repeat not that bad. I have heard but never experienced the hill at Elk. Going up or down takes less than 10 minutes. This whole excersise is about challenging ourselves not illegal aliens. As far as Horseshoe politics go  if you dont know whats going on with the MLPA and closures just look in the fishing politics section on the site.

Let's do it, my time off is subject to change so I cannot say for sure if this date will work for me. Would block and tackle be in order or some kind of rock climbing gear to assist with hauling the yaks up and down?  Mike

No just carry. I want everyone to know that this is not for the timid. The cliff trail can be done but it is paramount that you pick your way down carefully. Also there are rocks in the water. Its not a sandy beach launch. Slippery rocks are a hazard and also have to be negoitated with care. Please only experienced kayak fisher people who are in shape should try this.

Above my pay grade, but looks killer.  Hell, I had a hard enough time going up hill at Paradise Park.  :smt053

I think that there are some people that are going to launch at Stump Beach and paddle up to Horseshoe. Sandy launch and stairs down to the water. Big wide stairs.

Craig

I am in if the WX is good. I love commando fishing. I did a farewell tour of the central coast MLPA's before they went into effect. Bitter sweet for sure.
