Got to pardee around 5:30, but guitarzan, ravensblack and bird were nowhere to be found.  So i went on by myself.

paddled around for a while, spotted lots of smallies and LM but none were interested in my lure.

eventually the other guys showed up (late wakers) and we paddled down towards the moke arm.

near the moke I found a good point and cast out a zoom fluke (weightless) - WHAM!  fish on.

unfortunately that was the only smallie of the day.  14.5" of bronze magic
Apologies for the crappy cell phone pic - no choice

After a while I started trolling to test my downrigger setup.  Found a few of the tiniest kokanee ever.  the first one went 9.5", the second was a twin.  the third one i caught i dragged around for probably 10 minutes not even knowing it was there until I decided to check my line.  I gave up on them after that because I didn't want to keep catching the little guys (no fight in them anyways)

Only got pics of the first one, released all of them to grow. 47.5 pts of AOTY goodness.  I dare someone to try to catch a fish worth less points =)

we tried to catch some other bass but not much luck.  the bass just didnt seem that interested in our offerings. Naoki showed up for the late shift, and the other guys camped out.

at least i had one smallie to somewhat live up to my name!  too bad the kokes werent of any size, woulda been nice for the grill tomorrow.

I thought getting PND ("Post 'n Ditched") only happened to Darius??   :smt044  j/k.

Good multispecies action, Ben.

Sounds like you had a blast Ben!  Solid multi-species day as previously mentioned.

Sad I didn't make it out.  I ended up earning some WAF by taking the kiddo with me to run errands.

47.5 pts of AOTY goodness.  I dare someone to try to catch a fish worth less points =)

Martin, if you read the original hookup post a little closer, you will see that Ben told Craig and John that he would not be making the hookup. So there was no reason for them to be looking for him.

In a last minute post, I think he stated that he was actually going to make it.  Who knows if Ben and Craig read it though.

Maybe so, Michael. I was just making sure that Craig and John don't appear to be the heavies for "not showing up." Ben did change his mind a few times.

WTG Ben... Looks like a great day on the lake. And I'll concede the award for the fish caught worth the less to you. 47.5... that'll be a tough one to best... or should I say worse.

no i was just kidding about the other guys - they were at pardee however they just got a little bit later of a start than me.

thats fine since i like to fish early regardless of if others were there.  i was just worried that i had missed an update and they had cancelled the plans or something - no big deal really.

Sorry we missed you at the launch Ben, took us a little longer to get our rigs together at the campsite, launched about 6:30 and fished the spillway before heading towards the river arm and meeting up with you.

On the water 6:30 to a flat lake, very nice water with huge bass on every point, not too many takers... I landed a 14 inch smallie day 1, and had a huge lm on till it came up and threw the castmaster 20 feet away on day 2. We will have them dialed next time.
Craig saw a Kingsnake but when I got there, I could only see its tail and coulnd make the grab, it was right on the waters edge in deep water, in a crack, it was beautiful, damn :smt013

Good time at Pardee.  Arrived Friday about 4 PM, grabbed the campsite and got on the water for a few hours till dark.  Chucked a 6" Hudd for no takers and picked up 3 RB trout (13-15") trolling a Rapala. Beautiful sunset with the storm clouds in the high country. Nice evening to just float on the water, take in the sunset and close out the work week! Craig and Ben rolled in right after dark. Launched about 6:30 Saturday morning, worked the spillway area and narrows trolling Rapalas and chucking the Hudds.  Then headed up the North Arm and maybe a mile or so up the River Arm.  Hooked-up with Bassmanben on the way.  No bass for me Saturday - threw the Hudd most of the day until I couldn't take it any more. Caught a RT on trolling a Rapala and another 15" RBT drop-shotting a roboworm in about 20' of water.  On the paddle back all of a sudden we pick-up Naoaki on the radio (cool surprise appearance!)!  Fished Mel's Cove for awhile.

Great BBQ and hanging out with Craig, Ben and Naoaki Saturday night. Thanks for the steaks Craig...and the killer coffee!

Craig, Ben and I launched about 7 on Sunday morning. Caught 2 smallies (12.5", 15") and a RBT.  Thanks Ben and Mike (Mickfish)! Got off the water about 1 pm.

Really nice weekend, beautiful lake, lots of wildlife, saw a good number of really big LMBs cruising, and a few nice SMBs.

Pardee is a bit expensive, but a nice place to camp and fish, good facilities.  Campground not full and lake not very busy after last Memorial day weekend. Might be a good option for a AOTD next May-June?

Craig & Ben - great hanging out and fishing with you guys!  Naoaki and Ben - great to fish with you guys!
