I thought I'd share my dream last night. I was at a tackle shop asking the guy
behind the counter if they carried the line splitter rig. He didn't know what I was
talking about so I looked at every isle of the store. I was trying to remember in
my head what that thing looked like again. As I was heading out of the tackle
shop, I saw the splitter right next to the exit door. I bought 10 of them thinking
I would share some to my NCKA bros. See what you've started Chuck? Even in
my sleep BRO.  I think I may need to see a SHRINK.  The kayak fishing disease is
spreading too fast. :smt005

Thanks to Adam and Barbara for organizing this event, I had a great time!
Where did you guys find the fish friendly girlfriends and wifes? Some of whom were actually out there on the water, wow, how cool.
There were some of the happiest children I have ever seen, you couldn't  help but return their infectuous smiles. Happy children come from happy parents, right on and good job.
My only catch of the day was a pier fisherman, oops, even after reading a post warning of this. Der. Targeting halibut has humbled me again but I did get some great tips from the pros, thanks for sharing.
I cut out a little early after eating my share of the awesome grub, I didn't sleep a wink the night before anticipating this event.

Thanks for all your hard work putting this together, Adam, and Barbara, that italian pasta salad was off the hook!  There was so much good food, I couldn't not stop eating.  Mad props to Dr Habanero for the pulled pork and dried, smoked habanero powder, and to Anita-Zan for the SUPERtasty chowdah.

I only took a few pics, and they were of Shannon, (of "Tom n Shannon who fish OP" fame) catching the first fish of the day, a plump n fiesty 7lb striper:

Man, what a get together this was.  All kinds of cool people everywhere.  Great food and good fishing.  I hitched a ride with the halslayer and showed up around 1000am.  We both figured with the high tide being around 100 pm we'd hit it 2 hours before.   It payed off for Chuck big time.

A big WTG to Adam.  You are da man.  THanks for putting this hookup together and also for buying the spot.  I know you wouldn't accept any donations from anybody but some way or another I know we'll just keep the cycle of hookin brothas up goin and it will be all good.

Nice to meet your nephew and congrats on getting your first halibut from the yak CHad.  Dude, get a rack for that pickup of yours.  I'd hate to see it get scratched up.  Thats a sweet ride.  To all my other bro's, good seein all of you and the new people I've met, I look forward to fishing with all you guys again.  JTF

Adam, family, and others...Thanks a million!!!! It was a great event. I was totally blown away by the # of people OTW. The location and facilities were great. The rangers were totally stoked. I was hitting the restroom as Chuck was landing. I told the ranger that there's another pig was coming in and he actually ran to get his camera to take a pic. He was so stoked to be able to post the pics on their bulletin board.

Thanks to sailfish who gave me a small reel. I am gonna use for a home made sabiki rod...Will post pics later.

Thanks for everything all!
Shannon and I had a blast, great company and awesome food!  We will defiantly be back for another round.
highlight of my day was Shannon catching that striper (7 pounds on the Boga). Not only first fish of the day but her first striper of the year and first fish on the yak.
it was awesome to see her literally kiss the fish on the forehead and let it go.  gotta be worth karma points there.

Great meeting folks and we had a blast!

Hi EWB,

Thanks for the bonker & home made jig.  That reel will be perfect for your Sabiki rod.  You just miss the great clam digging hookup this morning.  I'll post the report and pictures later this afternoon.

Another excellent NCKA hook-up. Thanks FisHunter & Barbara for puttin' it together.  :smt001

Great to see people I've met and meet some new ones, along with some of their kids & families.

Hojo, awesome pics as always and thanks for disc with all the previous photos.

Props to everyone else for capturing & posting some great shots as well.

Food was abundant & off the hook (some literally) as usual. So much food, grill space was at a premium!

Nice going (again) ChuckE on the hefty hali & congrats to Craig & all who hooked up. Gotta give special props for firsts - nice goin' ChevDaze on your 1st hali! KoolAid may be my new ritual drink on hali hunts.  :smt003

Thanks again all for an awesome NCKA Saturday! Looking forward, and inspired, for the next one.  :smt004

Damn Craig that was quick! :smt044  I literally sent them him not 15min ago! :smt044  Oh well, I was glad that I close enough to get the shots.  If I wasn't hooking anything at least others were!  :smt010
ChuckE's monster just after getting it on clip.

I'm not sure who this is but he hooked up just after Chuck! and as I was there when Chuck hooked up I got a few of him as well.

I wasn't thinking to take a picture of the enormous amount of bait that my FF was showing, my FF has never, never in it's entire time on any of my hulls showed as much fish in fresh water as it did that Saturday on the bay!

When Al & arrived, the parking lot was already full of kayaks!  Lots of color all down the line of parked vehicles.
I found Adam and got medicated! (Thanks Adam) I never got or felt the least bit queasy or sea sick, was able to tie tackle, the whole nine yards.  I realise it was a bay, and the huge swells probably weren't present, but the ferry wakes were sporty at times.  They didn't bother me at all.  Next step is the open ocean.
Despite everyone around me landing fish, I had a real good time on the water.  I soaked up all the on water information Adam, Chuck, Craig and all had to offer.   When I finally called it quits, I released the shiner Craig gave me and made my way back to the launch.
After avoiding a heart attack dragging my barge on those skids known as Hobie wheels, up the hill, I made my way to the food.  6hours on the water I was a little hungry!  All I'm gonna say about the food is YUM.  OK one more thing.  There was allot of it! :smt007
I think, if I ever go to paradise park again with my barge (AKA OB) I'll have different wheels for it!
Great event, One more thanks to Adam for doing it! :smt006

As usual, a great hookup!
Great to meet the the known faces, and new faces.
Plus, one never goes hungry!
Thanks to all, and good to see the usual suspects.
Let's do it again!
