I'm posting this purely for reference.
Headed up with Brian G to Silver Lake - tried to get the afternoon bite.
Skunked.  Brian G had a "tug tug" but nothing more.
Heard the same from multiple boats.
No pictures, I'd rather not document this dissappointment  :smt011 :smt010

Also - had to have been 80+ degrees....  :sunny:

Wait, you're spending quality time with someone you care about in your kayak on a beautiful lake,, the suns shining, you're getting some exercise.... and you're dissapointed??? :smt009

Not hooking a fish... Don't sweat it... next time..

Trips like that just make you more appreciative of the times when the fishing is phenomenal. Everyone smells the skunk every once in a while, better luck next time

Very very true. I just had a good feeling about the fishing that day, so dissappointed to find out my women's intuition was way off :)

If you took me instead of Brian, your stringer would have been filled :smt002  :smt008

Do I even want to go look this up in the Urban Slang dictionary?

Hey you two, saw you out there while also going out for the evening bite in a PB with my buddy.
Waved to Brian, as we came up on NCK you moved away from us. Bite was not so bad pulling minnow colored floating Rapalas. My buddy caught 3 and I 1 all in the 17 - 20" range, all nice strong Browns.
Pulled 12" AC plugs for most of the evening - until 8pm hoping for a 15lb Mac, but no love.
You guys should try the back of the lake from the falls by the GS Camp, West to the cove and cabins.
The middle has always been no man's land for us. Wish I was on my YAK!
Here's a pic...

Happy paddling!

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.
