Decided to head for the hills and brave the weather this weekend. First day I caught two LMB, two smallies and one trout. All on plastics and crankbaits. The rain poured some of the time and then cleared to over cast then poured again on and off all weekend. Saturday evening I get a light "bite" on a brushhog. (one of those not sure, better check bites) Lifted the rod a little to check. Feel a little bump and I reared back. Out comes this hawg shaking her head trying to throw the brush hog back at me. I acually let up on the drag a little for fear of a break off. After taking a few pics I set her free to fornicate...  :smt003 Today, nuthin' hooked, missed three bumps. Generally it was a tough bite, with the low pressure sitting on top. This weather is got them coming and going, they don't know what to do... :smt009

Awesome catch in the rain, Glenn. Is that a self-portrait or was somebody else out in the weather?

As long as it's not windy and I've got my rain gear I love the rain. Not a lot of folks out there. Just the die hards... Fish was 24'X16 but I put her down for 23.5 in case anyone didn't like my tape measure... :smt002 Took the photo myself with the timer. Got a few pics and set her free. I accually made one of those keeper nets Tote posted, but I forgot to bring it so I had to use the stringer again to hold her while I set up for the photo session.  :smt003

Jonesz we need to get you a hawg trough! That thing looked like a 24" fish. I did 2 days of fishing in the rain and it paid off. Don't mind the rain anymore.
