Do you think the hard knee boards/wake boards would work for a dive board? Are they boyant enough? I'm guessing everyone uses the foam boogie boards because they are cheaper but I don't have a boogie board. Someone offered me a knee board for free and I'm going to use that unless someone can think of a reason not to.

Hope it works for you they paddle a lot faster

I have a kneeboard that I was going to toss if anyone wants it free.

Don't get the tire tube doughnut thing.  Unless you like patching tire tubes all the time.

I replaced the tube with pool noodles. Works great and you will never have to worry about a leak.

I agree.  Also comes in very handy if you come across a bunch of nice uni.  No way I ever wanted to put urchins in the inner tube before.  Deflating 200 yds from the beach would be no fun...oops!   I zip-tied a bunch together to make them behave.

There is also a 'foam floatie thing' they make that is rectangular. It is 6'' wide by 1'' thick and 3 or 4 feet long.
I used it on the outside of the pool noodles to keep the sides of the float tube nice and high.
It also makes the bag fit as though there were a tube inside.

Great Idea - I go through about 1 tube a year for my float.  I was picking them up pretty cheap a truck stops, but in a pinch had to pay $13 at a dive shop for my last one.  Pool noodles seem like a much better substitute.
