Went camping and yak-fishing with Nseine, Uminichu, Ashley, Norm, and Phil last weekend.  We stayed at Brannon Island (near Rio Vista).  First evening (Sunday) yielded only one hookup on a 16 in. striper...troll-caught on a deep diver.  Monday morning, I started early with a 29 in. lineside.  Ashley and Phil hooked up on two 20-21 in. stripers.  Naoaki battled some small shakers.  We had $100 worth of live shiners; all fish were caught on trolled plugs...of course...

Tuesday morning we headed over to Delta Meadows and caught 18 small largemouths (biggest 16 in.), 2 small stripers (12 in.) and 4 catfish (all on live and dead shiners).  Naoaki saw a good striper boil around 10 am with shad fleeing all over, but it ended before he could get a bait in...

The weather was ridiculous...so beautiful...and warm.  Almost too warm.  Water was nice at ~64 deg. with moderate tidal swings.  Keeper stripers were caught slow trolling along the banks in 15 ft. of water. We saw lots of 6-10 lbs striper carcasses in the dumpster @ Brannon Is.; fish were around and on the chew for the powerboaters...we had to work hard for every fish.  All-in-all, a great trip!

I've added a few pix below...

Fishing was slow for me but we had a great time!
As Levi said it was hard to find the fish in the Brannan Island area, but the camp ground was pretty nice.
Delta Meadow had lots of small fish but nothing big.  The water was very shallow nothing more than 10-15 ft.
Now we need to go find a fish like Ariel's!!!

Can I ask where you guys are launching for the Meadows?  I have fished it by boat many times because I have a place on the water right next to Ko-Ket resort.  I drove that levy road north of the Cross Channel Gates but it was just after a rain and I didn't want to get stuck.  I want to take my Kayak in there.  Any info would be appreciated.

I finally got the 2009 kayak skunk with this 15 1/2 inch largmouth at delta meadows.  Caught on a secret agent, cause that seems to be the only way I can catch anything in freshwater.  It was a fun trip and really hot.  I didn't catch much but who cares I got to hang out with my best buds Naoaki and Levi.
