Finally got a chance to take the yak out yesterday and got to Chabot around 7:30am. After inspection and preparations I was on the water by 8:30. trolled a broken back rapala rainbow from the marina all the way down to the dam and into bass cove. Changed setup and tossed a brush hog for about an hour. Suddenly I began to hear a buzzing sound within 10 seconds it became very intense. I look up and just over my head the sky was filled with thousands of swarming bees. As I high tailed out of there I was sure I was going to get attacked (scared the hell out of me). But it never happend so I decided to troll back down and around the island. As I was passing the island I got a hit and reeled in this little cutie my first from the yak. Planned on releasing but he took a trebble to the gills. Great hot as hell day left at 1pm.

One year camping up at Shasta, I was relaxing and heard the same thing!  hundres of thousand of bees decided to bibwack in a huge oak I was under!  Fortunatly for me the bees stayed up in the tree and only hung around for maybe 2hrs, then moved on!  The hive was huge!

WTG on the first fish on the yak BML. It's a good thing you brought a camera to
take a picture of it. Looking forward to many more reports and pictures from you.
