We are starting the 9th season tonight of the LGFRS.

7-8pm on 1080AM in Santa Cruz.  If you are out of range, you can go to the LGFRS website linked below my signature and click on the microphone for live streaming.

Oh wait, here it is for convenience sake:

http://www.theletsgofishingradioshow.com/

Tonight we have a few guests lined up, Captain Jimmy to talk about rockfish opener and the Dungies he's catching near Davenport, Jay Yokomizo - bay halibut and stripers, Carl Azevedo, Bocci Boy Bait (he has some fine sardines right now, weird, early influx in the Monterey Bay.  And, who knows who else, maybe Steve Carson or Chad Woods with the mountain and Southern Cal reports.....

We also take listener callins.

I'd love to hear from more kayak anglers this year.  In the past we've had Jim Sammons, Howard McKim, Bill Pennington and other yak fish luminaries on the show, and we love to hear from the listeners.

So, tune in and call in tonight and every Thursday!!

Allen

Just checking

I recorded and archived a few shows last year, but frankly it is a real hassle, I have to bring my computer to the station and hook everything up.....

so, I don't know if I'm wiling to do that this year.

If anyone out there wants to sream it and save it as an mp3, I'm happy to post them on the website each week.  It wold be a commitment, though, so think about it.

Allen

Hew ewb!

I'm a MAC guy also.  i just used garage band to record the broadcast, and then saved it as an mp3 (or actually exported it as an mp3)

have you used garage band?

for input I would go from the 1/4 headphone jack off the board (Would work off a receiver as well) to the 1/8" microphone jack, straight shot into the computer.

One problem I did not solve was how to capture the stream within one computer.  can't jack out of the headphone and back into the microphone on one computer...

maybe one of our digital bretheren has a suggestion?

thanks for the offer i would be stoked if yo did that and would commit to weekly posting on the LGF website for sure.

Cambell might pickl up the 1080 signal OK....

I just tried to do it via my speakers into the mic and it worked ok. I am tying to dig up a 1/8 to 1/8 cable to see if I can do it. If not I have a 2nd system that I could boradcast from and into the mac. It looks like the simplest would be to save it as a podcast no?

Hey Eric.  thanks man.  I think the podcast takes some programming on the website end to make it workable.  I am so ignorant I would not know how to do that (or even what "that" is...haha).

MP3's I  just post as a file and it downloads in a flash.
