Make sure you fish LA/Ven County line. It's a great spot. I've caught butts and wsb's there. Kelp beds everywhere and nice flat sand beds everywhere located near structure.

Do they have to register their kayaks down there?  I saw the registration on the yak.

Ariel,

Is there a good/specific launch site? Or just try and get as close to the line as I can.

Just launch from the beach across from Neptunes Net Restaurant. Also a good place to launch is Deer Creek/PCH & Leo Carillo State Beach.

No, he just had a outboard mounted to his yak backin the days. Since he had a motor on it he needed a CF#

Thanks.  Does this applied to a yak with trolling motor too or just outboard motor?

Yes trolling motors also. As far as I know down south, all the yaks with trolling motors had cf#'s.

Or perhaps my Buddy Jeff AKA the Ryhno is a kayaks fishing guide and you use to have to have kayaks registrated for kayak guided trips... Just a hunch from what a little birdy has told me and he posted on other sites...
