Make yourself useful: Yak fishers needed.

yeah once you guys figure out the dates i could try to make a trip up for some uncharted water.

i think it sounds fun.

I wouldn't mind trying that either, anything to help.

I told the Wife about this and she is behind it 100%.

Sounds cool.  Mid-week is OK with me, or weekends. Looks like maybe some nyphing water with a fly rod would work well.

chopped that neck  of the woods back in the 80's some big sticks...who's the timber co.??? and its a close drive for me....I'm in...if it still happens...got a neighbor who just got a yak and is dying to fish...

Hawthorne Timber Company is the company.  We manage the old GP holdings on the Tenmile, Noyo, and Pudding Creek.  Those pumpkins are gone now, but the place grows redwoods like weeds.  Will be up for another rotation in about 20 years.

I just don't have the time to set it up this year.  At first I assumed no one was interested, but I guess I was wrong.  We have a giant camping/picnic grounds in big redwoods, so next year I will set it up right.  A weekend event with free camping.  Thanks for the interest you guys.

yeah it is from oroville but not from a yak, I waded out to thigh deep and fought them for a while, this place is south of the spillway

When the fish come in...its combat fishing @ the spillway

This private pond sounds like some incredible fishing....would love to fish it...
