Went by at lunch and sat in one. Couldn't accept the offer of a demo as I am supposed to be at work. I can't wait to actually try one..., really. Trying it with the wind we have today would have been a good test. At first glance I would say this is a duck hunters dream.

Wow!  The Pro Angler looks so comfy I wonder if Hobie is gonna add some adjustable head and arm rest to the seat?

Friend of my in Stockton bought one for his family. Got to try it out it was pretty fun. On the heavy side though but still fun. I was able to lift it up over my when empty. Succesfully car topped it on my Bronco by myself military pressing it overhead & loading it up the Hobie demo way. My buddy has trouble loading it up on his own.

This kayak I've tried recently.  I'm gonna have to say it was the most comfortable kayak I've ever lounged in.  They didn't call it a kayak though.  It was called a boat.  Pretty accurate as I was able to stand up on it and walk around comfortably. My favorite test drive at the lake del valle paddle fest.

If I had the money to burn, I would make the pro angler my fresh water vessel.

just bought a PA from Adventure Sports in Livermore.  got a decent deal I thought. that thing is HEAVY!  going to try it out at a Sierra Lake on highway 88 tomorrow.
it is the olive color, wanted a brighter color so I would be seen easier while on the water.  Sierra Sports were the only place that had one in stock within an hour's drive from me.

UPDATE:
tried it at Upper Blue Lakes off highway 88 Saturday. super stable and super comfortable!  very easy to pedal, as per the GPS we went a little over 4 miles.  I raced my son who was in a Hobie Sport and I could just start to pull away from him.  the only thing I don't like so far is the weight when trying to load it and move it around off the water.
it was starting to sprinkle when we were on the water and the wind picked up  (10 to 15 MPH wind did not bother the PA at all)  so we pedaled in at a brisk pace.  the water was choppy plus with the overcast I could not see the huge boulder until I was right on top of it.  ended up bending both masts and ripping one ST Turbo fin.
the rudder is very sensitive, you have to make course corrections all the time but I have gotten used to it.  can't wait to get the drive repaired and hit the water again!   :smt003
