Is this boat a good diving platform? I am looking to dive out of Ft bragg and stability as i get in and out of the boat is more important then speed. I am 5'10" 170lbs. But i still want to be able to get from here to there with some speed.
Is there someplace around Ukiah that i can test out yaks?

Thanks

A Drifter is about as stable as they come.  They paddle ok for being so wide, but are a wet ride...  you'll have a couple inches of water in the cockpit at all times.

A drifter would be a good dive platform.  Very stable.

Do you know where Highland springs is located (Lakeport)?. I am one of the care takers that live in the park. I have a Drifter, and on June 2, my wife's should be delivered. So if you want to take test paddle shoot on over!! hell we could even catch a few bass wile we are at it  :smt003
