Well, fishing at the brickyard was not quite so hot on Sunday. The weather was great and the signs were promising as I chased crashing pelicans.  I trolled thru the yard from the Marin islands to the sisters and back with a blue/silver x-rap (with a bit of BAM!...smelly jelly sardine) for 1 jacksmelt.  I stopped several times to cast when I was close to the crashing birds and had one schoolie chase my fishtrap to the boat.  I had one troll fish on briefly near the sisters that came unbuttoned.  One of the hooks had broken off the forward treble on the x-rap (I take back what I said about Rapalas use of good hooks).

There were a couple other kayakers out there too that didn't seem to fair much better.  Well, that's fishing, at least I got the skunk out.

I should have launched at Bucks; I bet that large school is foraging on the Hamilton Flats.  I'll get em next time.

Much the same on the PM tide at the brickyard, Sunday 09.11.

Fished from 4-7:45pm.  Paddled with a friend.  We worked hard for two small stripers and never found the school. Paddled from the Loch Lomond up to the Sisters.  Worked the shoreline - trolling Xraps, working hair-raisers, and fly's.

Saw Pelicans working bait, but never managed fish from those spots.

What a difference a day makes.

Beautiful Day.
One shaker.
One missed hit.
Met some nice kayakers.
Met some not so nice PBrs.

Good meeting you at the takeout Sebastes.
We will get them next time.
