Any pre stretches or things i can do? thanks james

Most of the time I have seen folks be uncomfortable its because their seat adjustment is nutty.

8hrs is not a problem for me at all, using one of those gardening knee pads to suppliment the factory Native seat.

Hey Eric, I'm probably goofy, but where exactly do you put a kneepad where it helps your seat? I'm missing a visual, and I think it's best I don't use my imagination...

Available at Walmart, etc... cheap.

But like SBD said, make sure your seat is adjusted right.  I like to be sitting upright rather than leaning back.  And I push with my feet while paddling sometimes to get more power and to keep the blood flowing in my legs.

I used to have constant back problems but it's all better since I started kayaking.

james since you have the upgraded seat its probably not the seat (at least not the butt section)

probably has something more to do with your positioning in the seat or the seat's adjustment.

if you're leaning forward when you're paddling maybe you could adjust the seatback so its more upright?  you're tall too so that may be a factor in it.

my butt and my legs start to get tired after 3 or 4 hours so i usually try to fish a little while on my knees or stretch my legs.

Hi James,

For the record, I don't put the pad under my butt, but more like under my upper thighs to distribute my (considerable) weight evenly.  But I'll shift it around after a few hours to change things up.

I'm not familiar with your seat... and others here are more qualified to answer... just offering what works for me.

Are you keeping your legs straight, or slightly bent at the knees?
