Thanks Fishin-Jay and Fish Flogger-Your advice is appreciated.  I already have lots of ideas for my next attack at Del Valle.

I talked to some guys at the Oakland Pro Shop about Del Valle and they said swim baits are the nuts out there for stripers, has anyone had any luck using them?  He said when they plant trout it is a hay day for big stripers feeding on the trout.

NP Matt. Hope you have better luck out there next time. If the weather holds I think I'm gonna try to get up there the weekend of the 14th/15th.

Sweet, let me know if you are going in hook ups or email.  The more I  hear about Del Valle the more I like it.

I've always thought that but have never been able to get on the water on days they plant.  I'm sure one could get into some hefty LMB doing the same thing.  Mark that down as one of my to-do's for the summer.

Michael-Its not just the day they are planted.  They say that the fish that get planted hang in that area many times for days if not weeks.  That is why its such a cluster F--- near the launch and the marina.

They did say that the bigger LMB take advantage of the situation too.

I am already on board having just made an investment at the Oakland Pro Shop today. :smt081
