the weekend forecast actually looks nice to me. I've berm in worst conditions fishing the central coast. The sat and sun forecast looks good. 4ft swell are nothing. I will actually paddle out Friday morning also. We will probably have a little window to fish Friday. Just paddle into the direction the wnd is coming from. Let it push you back to the cove when its time to turn in.

I will brave the worst conditions. Who with me?

Eric -

My final post on thread. Just wanted to thank you for organizing. 47 pages is a testimony that there are many of us who love the ocean and it is only the dreams that gets us through the winter even when we are pretending to like fresh water fishing.  :smt005 Anyway, no matter what happens fishing-wise this weekend, we are on our way and it is going to be a total NCKA party. Thanks for 5 months of dreams brother!!!  :smt007

I got my Ab card today!  My local Wally world started carrying them.  I also got a new ice chest to bring my haul home.  I will just have to empty the beers out of it to make room!

I have everything packed in totes, to just load and go Thurday.

I am hoping for some epic fishing and diving.  I am plannign on bringing my new speargun as well.  It needs to be broken in on a large lingasaurus.  Self defense only I assure you......there we were, it was me or the ling.  I could tell by the look in his eyes that I was not only part of the food chain, but on his menu.......

Oh we are going to have fun.

I love to have a copy of the magazine.  Can you bring us nice weather to the cove?  :smt003

If anyone is considering not coming because of the wind I'm warning you:  don't make a big mistake.  I've tried to give a realistic view in all my descriptions of Cove weather, but don't forget the parts where I've pointed out that it looks like we're in for EPIC conditions.  I would NOT ever write such a thing if it weren't true.  It's true!

EPIC...  I'm in awe right now.

Yep.  Thanks, Scott and everyone else, for your contributions to this epic thread which has never lost relevancy and freshness, and thanks too for your energies.  We are going to have one hell of a trip.  :smt001

Once we turn onto the road to Shelter Cove from 101 are there any other turns? Will I need a map?
