My cousin and I hit lake Natoma this afternoon in an attempt to break our curse (we never catch anything when we fish together).  We launched from Negro bar around 2pm.  I started by trolling a watermelon dodger and crawler.  I had my first rainbow within 3 minutes of dropping my line (14 inches, released).  We fished for a few more hours.  I  switched the crawler for an apex and hooked in to two nice fish, only to use them at the yak ( I will bring my net next time).  My cousin was less fortunate, he did not have so much as a bite.

A mediocre day overall, but at least we broke our curse.

Being an honorable sportsman is way more important than what you catch.

Lake Natoma is the place to break records.  We have pulled some monster trout out of there in the past.

Congrats on the catch. I've fished that a lot and have never caught a fish.

Where are you fishing in Natoma?

I have the best luck between Negro bar and Folsom prison.  Natoma has always been a slump-breaker for me.
