Made it to the launch at about noon and had my first fish in the bucket right after Abking called and said he couldn't make it :smt009 . Next time Bro. The action was pretty hot till about an hour and a half after high tide, no real trophies yet, but it is early in the season. I got to get a pic of this crazy gull with a messed up wing, just hangs around waitin to steal my bait. It's pretty funny. I take a few steps down to cast and it runs over to my bait bucket to get a bite, but bout that time I turn around and it runs off. He has been hanging with me for over a month, even when I was dropping my crab rings on the other side of the spit. Anyhow, the bucket was full and I couldn't see 100'(mothers open arms), Made it back to my truck in time to see some tweekers driving a busted yellow POS celica doing doughnuts in the sand. Cheap entertainment.

  Here is another bloody bucket.

  Tight lines.

Yeah, mouth of eel, all redtails.

I like a #2 circle hook, a snelled hook holds the bait a little better but the circles hooks them right in the lip. Easy on the fish (for release), and you. Good luck on Sunday Kiel.

A little olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic and a skillet. On the other hand, deep fried is hard to beat!

Another great report, Dom.  You've got it dialed down there.  MOA (open arms) @ MOE - it's a special opportunity to have something like that in our front yard, and I won't miss the next chance to learn from the master.   :smt001

New music, same filetin' skilz.   :smt002

Very nice Dominic!  Do you have any trouble with vandalizm parking out at the Eel river or the boat launch?  My wife and I drove out there yesterday before heading back home, as I wanted to see the boat launch and beach access.  There were enough tweekers running around there to make me pretty nervous.

Very nice looking spot for the kayaks though!  Calm, flat water with just a little fog.  Quite a sight, you definately live in an awsome spot!  Have you taken your kayak out of the mouth?  How is the swell there.  Thanks, Matt
