just do a quick pump&pull. If not shrimp, move on to the next hole.

managing to pump 2 this afternoon
Pumping is a lot like fishing sometimes they are deep sometimes they are shallow, but when you find an area that has a few there are more there(they are there for a reason) Sometimes they are straight down sometimes off to the right or left, once you start finding them keep doing the same thing I like the clusters of holes Yesterday I had to take 5 or 6 pumps per hole but in 1 hole I got 7 fat ones. If a hole has a big mound around it they have been digging and are usually pretty deep. If you are pumping mud move they like loose sand. they don't like light so at nite is the easiest. Most are small but big ones live in the same tunnels. It normally takes me about 1 hour to get 50 big ones, make sure you rebury the smalls so the gulls don't get them. once you get it down it's a lotta fun and a good work out.

Not shabby for a week day. Duane said, " gosh Dave, sorry I can't make it, but if you folks deside to keep some of your sturgies, you can clean them all on my lawn...."
