Met up with the local hero (hydrospider) at Braitos marina on Sunday for a little change of pace.  Could not have picked a better day to be on the water, weather was PERFECT.  We made our way out of the marina and worked a stretch that was rumored to be producing some big fish, but our various offerings were scoffed at while our agents marched through unscathed, .  Terry did show me some spots that if we get some rain look like Kayak Heaven.

With no action we decided to load up and move to a spot that has always been good to us in the past.  Ah yes "the park" was calling...   It took awhile to find them, hydrospider picked one up then another, while I rode the skunk train for at least another hour or so.  The hope was that as the sun set the bite would improve, and it did.

We proceeded to burn through 4 dozen or so agents, with Standard Issues, doubles, ferocious takedowns, and fights that had us spinning circles.  These fish were tough!

One fish made my hands shake for awhile...

Very nice.  And I'm down here in San Diego counting the weeks til the trip north to hang with T for a week on the LCT09.  We're catching bass down here in the ocean.  The swimbait bite is on when the east wind kicks upand the tide is right to fish the kelp beds offshore but nothing like those hogs.

Keep the reports coming it's stoking the fires of desire.

Congrats fellas

Had the T140 in the garage stripped and clean for winter repairs but Patricks invite and the weather convinced me to take it off the workbench for a few more days.So glad that I did.
The bite is deflinately later in the day and may have been the reason we couldnt take victims at Braitos and Shag Rock.
Here is another shot of Patricks AOTY worthy bass and another of a LM I took the next day.
thanks again HT
