Sorry Guys Comp. was down for last two weeks.
We will be launching at Tiki Lagun off Hwy-12 west of Stockton
They have Camping and R.V. space avail.
I will also start a roll call in about a week where I will post a link to Tiki Lagun

Thanks Eric.  No problem about not having a thread by now.  Figured I was jumping the gun anyway - a sign of how desperate I am to get out on the water. :smt009

I hear you Ben!  I missed the butt turnout and will be on vacation for the Hogan event. :smt010

I'll be at the delta event though, come hell or high water! :smt003

I will be posting a Roll Call next week but here's a link to Tiki Lagun for those who want to make a res. for the camp or R.V. sites. Linda the Manager of Tiki said she would not charge for launching the kayaks however there will be a $10.00 fee for parking (Iron Ranger).

For info and directions:

See You there,

This is the perfect event to learn. I did a hookup early this year with HobieBlue and it was the bomb! My first bass!

Looks like it's time for the Delta Event.
If you are going to attend this event please read the FW Delta Roll Call post.
See you all there
Eric

P.S.
Porky,
For this event I would suggest a 6-1/2 to 7 foot med. heavy or heavy rod with at least 12lb line. Early top water followed by Senko's and Jig's as the day warms poss. try a Swimbait or Spinnerbait.

For a current Delta report call Tim at Fisherman's Warehouse (Manteca)
He has fished the Delta his whole life and is a great angler

shorts and a t shirt if the weather is nice.  the water temps are probably in the high 60s right now so i wouldn't be overly concerned about getting dunked.  the area around tiki is not that wide and the current is not that strong so you can swim to each side if you fall out.  i usually wear waders but thats just so i dont have to worry about sunscreen on my legs.  spring suit would work fine as well.

just make sure to be safe and keep your eyes (AND EARS) open around blind curves and stay out of the middle of the channel.  lots of power boats in the area who will buzz you and could potentially hit you if they dont see you.

ok, thanks for the heads up!

so the water canals that will be fished are on "fast water", meaning no low speed limits for the boats, corrects?

some areas are 5mph, some are not. the delta is a hodge-podge of no wake zones.

it was kinda scary sitting there quietly in the fog when you hear one of the cigarette boats open up the throttle. see you all there!
