simple biscuit mix

I know everyone likes a good biscuit from time to time, and to make them from scratch can be a pain.  The other day I was going through an old Cajun cookbook I picked up a  few years ago and I found this very simple very tasty biscuit recipe.

3 cups biscuit mix
1 bottle/can of beer
2 tablespoons sugar

Mix the three together and let sit for 20 minutes to allow it to rise

The original recipe called for putting it in muffin tins, I just grease a baking pan and make 1/2 cup mounds spaced evenly.  Baking temp is 375 F, and bake until brown.  I found that to be in 20-25 minute range.

NOTE:  I used a mild ale the first time I made these and they were fine, on a whim I tired using a Pale Ale and they had a slight after taste (imagine that), so choice of beer can have an effect on taste.
