My new years resolution is to get out and fish... it's been two years with a new baby, a masters degree from Columbia U, and another masters from UC Berkeley.   I've been gone a while gents!

Anyone up for some SCruz area perching on weekdays sometime soon?  I've limbered up the perch rods and sorted through old rusty hooks for something suitable.  I even bought myself a shiny new fishin' license.

I'd love some company.

I'm a perchin virgin, but I am willing.

I'd love to join anyone who knows more than me (that would be an easy standard)

I'm in Scotts Valley, and often available weekdays. Let me know?
Always willing to join others in the Monterey/Santa Cruz/Half Moon Bay area for a bit of fishing...feel free to contact me.

pretty sure these folks are talking surf perchin like you enjoy and not valley style.

Azteckayak took me out to lose my surf perchin virginity at mission beach this last oct and It was a BLAST!. Had the newbie luck going for me and even caught a corvina amongst a multitude o perch.
I want to go again but it did seem like it would be really easy to blow out a knee rushing out into the surf for the big swing then running back in before getting crushed.
All that then stomping over to "the sand bar" was almost like richmond park with waves.
