Got out early this morning with XSquid (pic 1).  The wind didn't take long to blow us off our usual points.  XSquid scored first with a topwater striper in the chop, looked like a good clean 22+ inch fish.  While Kevin searched for some wind protection, I got a nice 24 incher on the jerk bait (pic 2).  I got another fish on that the charged the yak and popped off right under me.

Later, we hooked up with grumpy (Doug).  By that time though, the wind was blowing us back at a fast clip, and the day was almost done.  I scored one more 18 incher on the way in to the harbor.

2009 starting off good so far.

This morning was brutal out there.  Sustained head winds made travel tough and fishing the "spots" even tougher.  We made the most of it though and still managed a couple.  Well, Bryan managed a couple, attached is the pic of my anti-skunk.  I tried for LM's while hiding from the wind behind some islands, but got no love.  Still it was cool to get on the water, nice to meet you Doug.

if you can handle the wind and still have fun(catch fish) then it is a GREAT DAY! if the wind was too much and 1 fish gets hook'd? it was an EVEN BETTER DAY!
Wind&Water are not a good match up for us......WTGet out anyway, on anyday!

I don't need a video.  From the picture, I can hear Bryan's teeth chattering all the way in Houston.

Way to go, guys.  I wish I was there.  On second thought, I don't.  It looks cold.

Hey, Kevin.  All is well here.  Haven't been fishing yet.  I have been trying to scout out some locations, but haven't wet my line yet.  Ill get out sooner or later.  Between the weather constantly changing and the fear of gators, I have been a little slow getting on the water.
