Wet day , but fun .

Drifted power bait off the bottom  after getting no hits trolling .
The drift past the end of the dock was the trick a bite just about every drift  , easy limits . let a few go and one ran 4 ibs .. not quite 17 , but fun none the less .
I even manged to catch one fish when my line snagged the swivel on the leader it had stuck in its mouth after someone else broke it off .
No idea how it happened , it had taken a marsh mallow from someone else , not sure how long those things last , but it had actually pooped it out with the hook , and the leader was running right through its gut  , goes to show how tought they are .

How can you tell whats a Lassen plant BTW ?

Happy new year

Dave

Dude!  I try not to give people too much crap about no pictures (I'm in recovery...), but OMG, you gotta show some detail on something that gruesome!   :smt005  I caught a greenling from the rocks near Petrolia several years back and it had a steel leader and swivel coming out the wrong end - fish are tough some times - probably tougher than they wanted to be, passing that!

Welcome aboard, dgoddard.   :smt001
