paddled out near top of tide in ugly thick fog...about 10 min later I see el dorado (gabe) paddling up. He anchors, five min later a guy in an old dinky pb, anchors about 20 yds in front- UP current of him...a**hole did nearly the same to me the other day.

We decide to pull up and paddle over to the honeyhole...had to leave at the best of the outgo, but did manage a little striper (probably 18)

Next trip is friday i think,,,

I think that we saw that dude out there last Sat.Patrick hailed him and I think he said that he had caught a strugeon the last 3 sundays in a row.Are you going on Fri for sure? I am there if so. I need to get a sock for the front of my scupper so it doesn't swing side to side when on anchor. If that doesnt solve my problem then I am shopping for a new ride for big fish in strong currents. I dont know if there is a low enough tide thurs nite or fri am early to pump shrimp at Tomales but I will go pump some if someone will be fishing on Friday or Saturday. Pm me if you want to get some live shrimp. Craig

I think you're gonna NOT want to do a sock out there....it would make it harder to anchor, no?  Mine does the same, if the line off your yak is not DEAD CENTER it will tend to do it more. When the current is going good and the wind is not catching your bow, it will track good. Once you get your line casted out, if it sticks good, it kinda helps the sway too. I just lay my paddle across my lap, dragging one blade on one side, like a rudder....and it gives me somethig to do too. :smt013
