Chuck E gets a Goose

Chuck and I hunted SF Bay a few days ago.  He got a goose and we got a few ducks.  I had to take my son to SFO and Chuck called me around 9 am and already had the goose down.  I showed up around 10:30.  We stayed until 3 pm.

I'm always amazed with that little dog's ability to retrieve big birds on the water.  She's retrieved several big honkers this past year.  That goose was wing shot, so Aki swam out, chased it down, and brought the big fighting bird back to shore.  I wish I captured it on video.

Here's a picture of another Canadian honker that she retrieved earlier this year.

She hates wearing that vest, but I made her wear it since it was freezing that morning and German Shorthairs generally don't do as well as labs in the cold.
