Way to go on the catch.  Looks like any near future fishing will be in the rain.  My take from yesterday just came off the smoker.  I hear that it is even better the next day, but most of it never sees that!

It was nice to fish with Jim and Ben today in the cold, wind and rain another beautiful day :smt044. I tried trolling most of the day with hits but no catches :smt013 so decided to do some drift powerbaiting got my limit in a couple of hours :smt007 pretty much by the launch area in the middle. I also got to test out my new location for my downrigger works very well will post pics soon.

Pic #1 Ben trying to keep warm
Pic#2 Jim netting his second trout
Pic#3 my limit for the day

Solid day gentlemen!  Way to brave the elements.

Hey Ben, what happened to your tag-a-long ducky?  And are you tied up to a buoy or what is that white thing in the picture Pat took of you?

I know the weather is iffy if Ben is sporting the Sou'Easter lid.
I'm glad to have a report, any report, to read while stuck at home.

Nice catches for all on YES a beautiful day (I still love the rain) , I been thinking about the blanket thing for sturgeon fishing, especially around my feet, was that for warmth or just the rain?

Its one of those emergency blankets, but a good sturdy one from REI, it is amazingly warm and light , I keep it in the yak, red and silver so when its sunny and you start roasting from the black wetsuit, the silver side goes up and INSTANT releif, the same is true for the black side when its cold. I need a new one now cause its getting a bit, shall we say,,, 'funkay
Stormscram's trout in the first pic was the fish of the day, we think a holdover, perfect tail, dark and what a mug!
