Trade for Tarpon 140 or 160

It's only a few months old. It is the angler edition, it comes with a paddle and fishfinder.

That's very sad news Jeff.  Do you still have another older kayak to fish from?   Maybe you can downgrade to stay on the water while you stay above water financially.  It would be a waste to have unavoidable spare time (cut back hours) and not be able to at least fish.

I hope things work out for you and look forward to seeing more reports (even if you have to fish from the bank).

Jeff, that truly sucks. Try to hold out & keep your boat as long as you can.
Hang in there.

Thanks guys. I am holding out as long as I can. If I could just sell my 135 aquarium I'd be way ahead and probably wouldn't have to sell my yak.

That is a bummer Jeff.  I really enjoy reading your reports.  We'll keep our fingers crossed that you can sell the aquarium although I'm sure that won't be easy to part with either.

its definitely worth what you're trying to sell it for and more.

I was thinking the same.  If you've got to sell it, get as much as possible.

Hope to still see you Sunday at Melones.

Michael

Hey Jeff,

Sorry to hear about your current situation. It seems like there is a lot of that going around these days. If I can give you any advice I would say, "Don't get rid of something you love for so little!". This will only buy you a little time and probably only make a dent in the bills. It is much harder to get it back than it is to let it go, I only know this too well. You really have a passion for fishing from your kayak so it would be a shame to see this end. There are plenty of us around to pick you up and take you fishing so you can save on gas and such! Just my 2 cents.

Take care and I will hope for the best for you,
Ray

I have a Scrambler XT sitting idle here in Santa Cruz. It's not nearly as sweet a boat as the P15, but if you must sell that boat, you'd be welcome to the Scrambler till things look up for you. Slow boat way better than no boat!

Good luck!
Always willing to join others in the Monterey/Santa Cruz/Half Moon Bay area for a bit of fishing...feel free to contact me.

I hope things work out for you bro. I totally enjoy reading your post and pictures.
If you can, like everyone had suggested, try and keep the boat. We just had a
major layoff at work just recently as well. I hate saying goodbye to those
wonderful people who had lost their jobs. It sucks so bad! I'll be praying for you.

Jeff - My office was shut down at the end of Sept. and I was laid off along with 12 others. I have considered selling many things but not the yak. It is the only thing that keeps me sane.

Good luck to you!

Selling my yak is never going to be an option.
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

Have a garage sale. Put out anything. You will be surprised what people buy.
Pimp yourself out for odd jobs.
And don't think of how much you can get for the kayak; think of how much it will cost you to replace it.
Pretend like you don't even have a kayak to sell.  You WILL find a way to survive.
DO NOT SELL THAT KAYAK!!!!!!!
