Depends on the occasion and/or mood. Stella Artois is what I have been buying the most lately. I am originally from FL and one of my favorites that I can't find out here is Yuengling. If anyone has bought it on the West Coast, please let me know where you found it.

Here's something that might appeal to NCKA hiking and drinking types, I went on a hike (my very first) this weekend, in/around Muir Woods. The purpose of the hike was to get to a place in the woods called the Tourist Club, basically a bar in the woods that sells German Beer and can only be reached from the trail. I drank Doppler Bock (I think). It was great.

a 1/4 mile is not a hike :smt005

Seriously thanks Phil that sounds cool now if only they had 1 you could only paddle to.

Tell me about it, we walked 5 flippin' miles to get there, only to discover, after 4.5 miles, that it's half a mile from the road.

GF and I stopped at Grocery Outlet and I picked up three 6 packs.  One was Fiddler on The Green Blonde (not to bad had one last night).  The other two are Firestation and Half Dome.  I will let you know how those turn out.  The best part....at $3.99 a six you can't beat them!  Well i guess mooching free beer off your buddy might be better...

Beer?  Never touch the stuff now that I'm gonna be NCKA BLOTY.  Although my wife already thinks I'm the biggest looser.

But, I can dream about the assortment of fine brews at the North Coast Brewery here in Fort Bragg.

White socks, redneck and Blue Ribbon Beer.

I grew up near Chicago and Pabst was the staple of my youth. The T-shirt below was my prize possession when I was 18 and wore it at least 3 times a week. It finally rotted off my back.

I hadn't drank PBR for 32 years until at a Pizza place this weekend and had a mug.

Boy what a wasted youth!

Great thread,

Definitely a lot of great beers mentioned, I am definitely a Celebration  fan, along with racer 5,  I also have tried the alaskan smoked porter very good,  Firestone Union Jack Ipa and  firestone walkers robust porter, Stone oaked arrogant bastard and ruination IPA, Chimay Blue, and New Belgium 1554 are currently or have resided in my fridge this holiday season.  as a present to my self went to Bevmo and dropped a benji on beer only.  :beer2  Cheers !

Boy what a wasted youth!

PBR became sort of en vogue amongst the young urban hipster crowd over the last couple years.

Wasted youth - tell me about it!
Way too many nights (and a few days) drinkin' cheap 40's listening to bands such as . . . well . . . Wasted Youth.

I lived in Budapest for 8 years and developed a taste for Borostyán, the best Hungarian beer and one of my all time favorites.

Yuengling! While it doesn't make my list of absolute favorites, this is a great mass produced beer! At a family reunion in Myrtle Beach, SC I discovered this beer for myself and it was all I would drink the whole time I was there. Too bad you can't get it out here. I think the one that I was drinking the most of was their Traditional Lager.  :smt007
