Since I was staying at my cousins house in Arnold Sat night I decided to hit White Pines before dark. Got to the lake at 5. Since they just drained it and excavated the bottom and just recently refilled it I wasnt expecting much action. I kept trolling past one point and kept picking up these stunted largemouth bass! Water at 44 degrees and here I am catching bass. Insane. No trout since I figured they didnt stock it. Oh well. Pics below

Great little lake. I have fond memories of that lake as a young boy. That is where I was introduce to kayaking year and years ago. There used to be some homemade kayaks left on the beach for anyone to use in the summer months. Never fished from them but your cousins and mine would paddle them around the lake. Great to see you had a positive weekend and got to visit some family.

Sounds like a rewarding and rejuvenating trip Jeff.

Skinny bass, but at least you got some.

Jeff,

Great shots of one of my favorite lakes. I used to live a mile from it and walked to it! I guess the only thing that will keep folks fishing there will be the bass since DFG will quit stocking it in the spring.

There is also a real small lake behind the church/shopping center on Pine Drive. It has some big bass in it, but they are real weary. My son and I have caught a few out of it in the past and have seen some big hawgs in it.

No,

There is a path that runs through the back of meadowmont to the lake. I lived on fairway dr right off of hiway 4.
