Anyone heard of Moi Moi monofilament. My brother back east recommended it. Apparently 50lb. has same diam as 30lb. 30 lb, has same diam as 10lb. Lw stretch and low memory. Nobody in the west seems to carry, or ever heard of it. Its a japanese brand, I am guessing maybe similar to Yo-zuri.

Tried it for a while,
Thin and soft but didnt seem to last very long, Also more expensive so I'm back with Trilene BG.
Takes a lickin and keeps on ticking.

I used Momoi Diamond for a while (back in my monofilament days).  Seemed good and durable for saltwater use... much more durable than the regular momoi.  Outdoor pro shop used to have it... not sure if they still do.

I think Rockhopper was a big fan... PM him for his take on it.

I use spectra almost exclusively for saltwater now.

Does spectra work well with jigs like mega-baits?

Ooooh yeah!

With 30 or 40 pound spectra, you are fishing like 8# diameter line.  You not only get incredible sensitivity, but you can fish a lighter jig deeper than possible with mono.  Top it with several feet of fluoro for abrasion resistence and you'll never look back.

Lots of info in the site about this... search around... its been discussed at length.
