Leo and I launched into foggy lake pacific. paddled north to within site of greyhound rock, where it got sunny (whew) and started our drift home at a finger of kelp that went straight out to sea. fog went away.

Lots of action.  Leo's first summer kayak fishing. Leo got a good ling early on. Used his gaff for the first time. didn't even take off the point guard,  :smt005

Also first legal ling for me, just before leo got his. :kick I was actually futzing with my other rod, and leo had to tell me I had a fish on,  :smt017

Lots of fish C&R'ed because we each had a fish on the stringer.

got a male greenling! released, but admired it for awhile. I'm pleased with my species variety this summer.

Tried several lures and baits. experiment day. all got hits. 7" brown fishtrap, with trap hook, dead sardines/anchovies caught last week, a strip of mis-filetted halibut, and the most fun, the megabait sardine pattern live jig, which got a ton of hits, and was easy to fish.
