Thanks for all the kudos,

The launch is on the north west corner of Sherman I.  Go over the Antioch bridge onto the island, go about a mile or 2 and take the first paved left, go to the stop sign, go left, follow the levee road down a few miles until you see a park gate, go thru, pay $5 and proceed to the ramp, the park has camping and a 24 hr a day host, plenty of activity so it's a safe place to leave your vehicle all day, watch out for the host's dog, he's a sweetheart but likes to mark his territory, so far this fall he's got my bait box, and my yak.

On the levee road you'll pass under 3 sets of power lines, these are the power lines that are talked about in so many Rio Vista area reports.

It's a short paddle from there out to the main channel

Awesome Dale!!....simply awesome :jawdrop!! I agree as well, post of the week. What a captivating report...I think I woke up several times last night yelling "Fish On". I am going to give it another try this Friday with Pops in his boat. I am just itching to land a keeper sturgeon. What an adrenaline rush it must have been landing it from a kayak.

Awesome dude! Report of the week for sure, and a great job on the pics, I take it your camera has a blur reduction feature to counteract the sturg-fever?!

Hey Dale, were to you towed all over the place while you were fighting
the fish? Did you  worry at all just in case a boat might be passing by at
your location? Sorry for the newbie question.
